Milling is a machining process where the rotary movement is always carried out by the tool and the feed movement is carried out by the tool or the workpiece. The machine tool on which the milling process is performed is called a milling machine.

CNC milling is no different from manual milling. The most important difference is that every movement of the CNC machine is controlled by an external computer. Each task is determined by an employee operating the machine. At the beginning of the task, the employee enters data that are stored in external memory or on the machine s hard disk.
