Pipe bending process

Pipe bending consists in permanently changing the curvature of the workpiece by stretching part of the material fibres and closing up the remaining part. Skilful and accurate bending of material requires us to select the right process parameters, including the degree of bending and power of the device. Otherwise, we could cause serious changes that could have a negative impact on the strength of our material.

Metalworking plants most often bend pipes and profiles with uncomplicated shapes. In most cases, the range of bending is within the following limits: arc up to 90° and bending angle up to 180° (U-shaped). However, this does not mean that these are the limits of today s metalworking industry. Bending of more complex shapes (including three-dimensional ones) requires the use of more technologically advanced bending machines. Therefore, it is important that the offers of machining plants can meet market demands.
