Use of hydraulic presses

Hydraulic presses are devices with very high pressing force. They operate by multiplying pressure forces through utilising the phenomenon of pressure constancy in a closed hydraulic system. They comprise two interconnected cylinders filled with hydraulic oil and sealed with tight pistons.

Due to their technological use, hydraulic presses can be divided into:

• metal forming machines
• machines for pressing non-metallic materials.

Metal forming presses are most often used for the following processes:

• extrusion
• bending
• punching
• die cutting
• cutting
• pressing
• forming.

The advantages of hydraulic drives are as follows:

In our plant we also use hydraulic presses for pressing plain steel (S235, S355) and aluminised steel (PA). We work on two types of presses, hydraulic press with pressure up to 160 tonnes and eccentric press with pressure up to 320 tonnes.
