The process of pipe and profile bending is a method of mechanical treatment involving a permanent change in the curvature of the workpiece through stretching part of the fibres of the material from which the pipe is made and also squeezing the remaining part. Obviously, in order to carry out the bending properly, it is necessary to choose the right parameters of the process, e.g. the power of the machine or the degree of bending.
Although on the surface pipe bending seems like an uncomplicated process, in reality it looks different, especially with more complicated shapes or non-standard materials. In such cases it is required to use professional bending machines, which can perform the most difficult tasks.
In the case of industrial tube and profile bending, we are talking about the use of machines capable of quickly and accurately bending a wide range of materials at any chosen angle. This is because mass production requires the use of CNC-controlled bending machines, which ensure, among other things, simultaneous feed of the material, rotation and repeatability of the bending. Thanks to the fact that it is machine-controlled, the bending process can be repeated many times in order to obtain identical products, which is particularly important in mass production. CNC machines also have a very significant impact on the economy of the entire bending process through, for example, minimising costs, shortening the process time and saving material.
