Practical use of a hydraulic press

A press is a working machine that operates by applying pressure on an object located between its working elements. A hydraulic press, on the other hand, uses Pascal s Law, which causes a multiplication of force when there is a constant pressure in a closed system. These types of presses have a wide range of applications in many areas of industry and are mainly used:

• for metal forming
• for veneering
• for pressing recyclable materials
• for plastic mouldings for grave candles
• for pressing ceramic powders
• for testing the strength of rocks (portable press)
• as lifting equipment of various types, e.g. in lifts
• as hydraulic brakes for motor vehicles.

In our plant, we use both hydraulic and eccentric presses for metal forming, mainly for cutting and embossing of plain steel (S235, S355) and aluminium steel (PA). For this process we use hydraulic presses with a pressure of up to 160 tonnes. Thanks to the power of our press, we obtain precisely cut and embossed elements.
