Robotic welding is a combination of traditional welding, robotics, sensor technology, control systems, and artificial intelligence. The welding is performed by robotic welders, which are programmed with specific data. The entire process is monitored by process and geometric sensors on the robot. In robotic welding, the key components are the software and instructions along with specifications. However, an operator is responsible for inputting and supervising the process, while the robot repeats the actions specified by the operator.
Robotic welding can be successfully applied to various welding methods such as arc welding, laser welding, or spot welding. The most common combination is often the use of two techniques: MIG/MAG and TIG. In our company, we utilize the Panasonic TAWERS TM 1800 WG3 welding robot, which employs both MAG and TIG welding methods. Our robot is equipped with advanced technical and functional capabilities, allowing for high-quality welds in a short amount of time. Additionally, it can be fitted with various welding tools, such as MAG and TIG welding torches, and includes functions for easy and precise welding parameter adjustments.
