Edge Press - What kind of machine is it?

An edge press (also known as a press brake) is a type of press used for bending sheet metal. By using appropriate punches and dies, it allows for the bending of sheets at any angle, as well as for folding or notching. The operating principle of the press is very simple, as the machine bends the sheet by lowering the bending beam with a punch onto the sheet, which is placed on the die attached to the lower beam. Typically, the material is bent multiple times until the desired shape is achieved.

Edge presses are divided into:

• Hybrid edge press
• Electric edge press.
