Heat treating

Heat treating consists in the following activities: heating, post curing and cooling of the metal material. It should be carried out at specific speed and temperature. Heat treating is used in order to change the properties of an alloy in a solid form, and change mechanical and plastic properties through change of the structure of a given material.

Heat treating is divided into:

• simple heat treatment
• plastic heat treatment
• thermo-magnetic heat treatment
• thermo-chemical heat treatment.

Heat treating is one of the methods of metal processing used in every metal processing and welding factory.
