Galvanisation

Galvanisation involves numerous electrolytic processes consisting of coating metal surface with various metallic and non-metallic coatings. Coatings strengthen the surface and protect it from corrosion and damage. Galvanic coatings include:

• tin plating and galvanisation together with hot-dip galvanization
• copper plating
• colouring of aluminium
• silver plating and gold plating
• anodizing
• traditional chrome plating.

Galvanic coatings may be made in a matt, patinated (aged) and shiny version.
