Preparing the surface for coating

Powder coating should start from preparing the surface of an object to be coated in an appropriate way. This is due to the fact that further results of the processing depend on cleanliness of the surface. Even paints of the highest quality will not fulfil their role if the surface is not clean. What procedures one must carry out to clean it? These procedures are:

• degreasing
• sandblasting
• drying
• dust extraction
• painting using anti-corrosion agents.

Selection of these activities depends on the type of substrate, financial capacity and effectiveness.

Powder coating is most frequently used to coat the following elements:

• steel elements
• galvanised elements
• aluminium elements
• cast iron elements
• elements from stainless steel.

Powder coating is the best method of metal coating. It results in a smooth surface without any streaks, cracks, bubbles and wrinkles. This method is not only the most effective corrosion prevention method, it also has decorative qualities.

Our plant uses the powder coating method. Thinking about our recipients, we bought an automated powder coating production line. Thanks to automation, we are more competitive in terms of processed material (500 m2 of surface per hour) and price. Maximum dimensions of elements coated in our plant are 3000x1700x400.
